Francisco Con Garza

2023-2026

Francisco Con Garza is Vice President of Commercial Operations at Saavi Energía, one of the leading power generation and energy marketing companies in the country. He oversees market operations, energy management, and analysis of gas and electricity markets in both Mexico and the United States. He has also served as a board member of various associations within the electric power sector and has participated in the energy committees of Mexico’s main industrial chambers.

Previously, he worked for 18 years in the energy department at CEMEX, where he served as Global Director of Energy Strategy and Director of Energy Business Development. In these roles, he was responsible for developing thermal and renewable generation projects, as well as for the purchase and sale of energy and environmental attributes in deregulated electricity markets across Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, and Europe. 

He holds a degree in Industrial Physics Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from EPF École d'Ingénieurs de Sceaux/Paris, France, and a master’s degree in Management, Technology, and Economics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) in Switzerland. 

Andrés Lankenau Martínez

2020 – 2023

Andrés Lankenau Martínez has extensive experience in the energy sector in Mexico, the United States, and Europe. He is the Founder and President of Enicon Energy, the first Non-Supplier Marketer in Mexico. Through its business divisions, the company supplies and markets gas and electricity in Mexico, the United States, Central America, and Europe. He is a founding member of the Nuevo León Energy Cluster and has been recognized by Líderes magazine as one of the foremost leaders in Mexico’s energy sector. He holds an LL.M. in Law and Business from Northwestern University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University. Andrés also serves on the executive boards of several companies with international operations.

Antonio Noyola de Garagorri

2018-2020

Antonio Noyola de Garagorri has more than 25 years of experience in Mexico’s energy sector, where he has planned and developed power generation and natural gas infrastructure projects. He has held key positions including Head of the Project Tracking Unit at the Technical Subdirectorate of CFE, Vice President of Development at El Paso Energy, Technical Director at Protama, Director of Business Development and Vice President of Energy at CEMEX, and Executive Vice President of Development at Avant Energy. He is currently CEO of Abeinsa Juárez N-III, an Independent Power Producer with approximately 1000 MW of capacity in the state of Chihuahua. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Mechanical Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM), as well as an M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) from the University of Texas at Austin. He has served on the Board of Directors of Gas Industrial de Monterrey, is currently on the board of Ammper Energía, and was President and Treasurer of the Energy Marketers Association.

Alvaro “Al” Garcia

2017-2018

Álvaro García Moreno has 25 years of experience in the energy sector across the United States, Mexico, and Europe. He began his career as an electricity trader with Enron Capital & Trade, Enron Europe, El Paso Energy, and Merrill Lynch Commodities, initially focusing on U.S. markets before contributing to the development and establishment of electricity markets in Switzerland and Germany. He served as ERCOT Electricity and Gas Finance Manager at Direct Energy in Houston, Business Development Manager for Latin America at EDF Trading, and as a consultant to both public and private sector companies in Mexico. His professional background spans electricity trading, financial natural gas trading, and maritime transportation of olefins and liquefied gases. He currently serves as Strategy Manager for energy companies at Accenture Strategy, specializing in liquefied natural gas, natural gas, electricity, and hydrogen. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from Columbia and London Business School. Álvaro was the founding President of the Energy Marketers Association.
